I know that I wont be reading one of her books because I am not interested in it, but I am planning on reading the rest. The dynamic here was occasionally disquieting and yet kind of familiar. I've decided I'm going to get this book for my Sara because I'm sure it will mean just as much to her as it does to me. She was my favorite character by far. Not about any one thing, but everything. There, Mclean tells them about the different personas she has taken on and, for the first time, they realize how hard the divorce is for her.

Of all the things that bug me about the , the biggest has to be the idea that you have to actually be in high school to feel like you're there.
Sarah dessen books are about girls who have a problem and they always find a way to resoolve the problem and they always fall in love witha guy who helps them i have read just … listen and lock and key and along for the ride those where really interesing down to earth books and are 100 percent recommened toeally wanna read read and also the others whch i havent read yet but really wanna read the way the stories are written are the same but the stories are way different and you will always wanna read the book more than once I believe the main idea for this story would be how love can affectpeople's lives and how it can influence it. Then, the later books mention earlier books. Halley, who was named after her grandmother, is currently at summer camp that she hates and was forced there by her mother when she gets an important phone call late one night. Their friendship may bend under the weight, but it'll never break—because a true friendship is a promise you keep forever. She was a very balanced character, and I liked how she dealt with her pregnancy, and how she was different.
And random a trip down memory lane--I used to know a horse named Isbee rhymes with Thisbe --I always wondered where his name came from, but didn't get to ask. I bought it, but it took me 8 months to actually pick it up and read it. I think I hate the trailer. I really liked this book, but it didn't hold my interest. While she is trying to cope with the ideas of moving for a fifth time, her friends find out about all the different personas she has taken on by discovering that she has four different Ume pages, each with a different girl that they don't recognize. To me, the most development we got from the plot was between Halley and her mother.
All the loose ends tied up in a big, red bow. Dessen loves showing how her pretty yet introverted teens can find themselves always with the help of a boy - thanks, Dessen and here seemed to be another case where the teen must know best and the parent must be a loser. In my opinion, Sarah Dessen is one of the best young adult writers out there today. Me and my friend had a conversation once and it had us thinking about where we belong. It did seem to feel like it was dragging throughout some parts of it. Auden is Annabel Just Listen is Ruby Lock and Key is Caitlin Dreamland. It is not until Scarlett's life becomes a tragedy that Halley begins to learn what it takes to be someone as strong as Scarlett.
And finally, reading Sarah Dessen is like eating comfort food: you always know what you're going to get, a tasty, satisfying treat. Reading Sarah Dessen is like walking into an air-conditioned store after a hot, humid day in the sun. Scarlett who has always been the strong one is now depending on Halley who has always been the weaker not always not knowing what to do one. Once again, Dessen demonstrates her tremendous skill in evoking powerful emotions through careful, quiet prose, while delivering a satisfying romance. They lean on each other for support and never feel the need to justify their relationship to themselves or each other.
Overall, it was an okay book. That was the first Sarah Dessen book to come out after I started reading her books. She has a sassy attitude and is not afraid to say what ever is on her mind. The story between the beautiful pages is one of loss, love, and friendship, and it is told in such a gorgeously emotional way that made me hold onto this book and read through until the end, and then I found myself desperately wanting to read it again right away. Opal has submitted her resignation, and once the Luna Blu building is put on the market, she plans on buying it to start her own restaurant.
